Monologue and dialogue

The monologue - works from Japan

Japanese artists reacted spontaneously with art works to the catastrophes from 11th March, 2011. They have sent digital data of their works and thereby form the basis of the project. The artworks (paintings, grafic arts and photography) were not systematically selected, but shall represent a spontaneous reaction to the exceptional circumstances in Japan, corresponding to the character of the project.

German artists in dialogue with the Japanese works

In the course of the following weeks German artists responded to the Japanese artworks with their own works. Installation, painting, video and performance got into an interchange with the Japanese associations.
